A lot of "serious" stones fans just hate this record. Well. I love it. I think that the Steel Wheels / Urban tour was one of their best ever. Well plaid, not that much of drugs on stage as compared to the all time low spectacle of 81-82 when they were just a parody of them selfs really. Then the songs done on the 89-90 tour, just fantastic set list really.
In the 90's I was living on my own in a house with four appartments. I used to go out every Friday and every Saturday for many years. Most of the evenings I had a bunch of friends starting off the evening at my place, having a "few" drinks ya know. About half an hour befor ordering the cab to take us downtown I used to pull out Flashpoint, junk up the volume just as the big bang on Start Me Up was due, CABOOOOM... START ME UP.... and the neighbours were notified that Janne had started up the evening Then we finished of with JJF and off we went to the bar or disco with energy going through the roof. Watch out the bar, here we come.
That was great times ;D
So, Flashpoint is for me a live LP that will be with me for the rest of my life
Well, my first Stones live gig was i Göteborg in August 1990 so that as well is connecting me to this live LP
This leather edition was a must at the time of its release agreed.
Jan no kidding about the 81-82 Tour It belong to the last good one for me, after they will never be the Band I used to love live... I agreed that 1989-1990 is a very good Tour, the STONES have never played so well, but maybe too well, the sound for most of the shows is a bit too FM , that's the reason why my point here is to say that 81-82 is the last good one, I like every soundboard recording of the 1981 Tour and some audience ones from 1982, it's probably also cos' my first Stones Live gig was in June 1982...but back to the topic

Sorry pascal, Forgot to show what was inside . Nothing to unusual. the box is it's made from a rubber like substance and has easierly chipped and scratched and the humidity at some stange has made it sticky. Very frustrating. Great LP though and some of the most simplistic design collectibles in the bands career.
