Thanks Bolexman Saw your comments on IORR as well.
Strange that the information on these two amazing items did not create more discussion on IORR. Seams to be that there are not many peple into collecting Stones stuff any more. It would have been nice to get a discussion going and maybe some more information on the background of the covers would have emerged.
We can only wait for the next issue of Record Collector now. There will be a story on both the silk and the octagonal sleeve, don't know how big a story, but something will be there for sure. Either this coming number or the next will have something. Don't know if we missed the deadline or not.

As a matter of fact, I have been thinkin about it doing a book. However, there are a number of issues that needs to be considered:
- Do I have time to put it together with a good lay out - I need to get a person with english as native language to get the text "better sounding" and correcting everything - I need to extend a lot of the text on the albums - I need to find someone who will print it for me - I will have to find some cash for paying the printer - And maybe the hardest task, where do I find a publisher who would distribute the book?
I will probably do it in a few years time, but if I do it, then it has to be done very professionally and classy. I would not be pleased with just a book, it has to be a good one.... Another thousand of working hrs neede.....
The text you wrote for the silk padded Satanic is very good, perhaps you can do something like that for the rest of the records in the book. The pictures of the sessions for the cover of TSM at the end of that page are also something that can work for all the albums in a book. Also pictures of the recording sessions of every record. Also missing (in the web page) is the singles: another chapter for the book. I think you are still in contact with John Rutherford: he was working in another (UK & US discography) book... perhaps you can join forces (maybe he has very advanced work on his book...).
I know, I know... a lot of work! Thanks once again (now that the year is ending) for this pages, to you and all the contributors!!!.

Thanks Rick for your words.
The silk AND octagonal sleeves are such incredible items so I wanted to do a bit more around them, like put them into a timeframe of what was going on with the band at the time of designing the new LP. More about this on the "www.stonesondecca.com" topic here under Collectors Café
There was some discussions with RC and the silk Satanic owner Adriaan Neervort and myself about an artickle with pictures of both the silk and the octagonal Satanic. I need to get the new RC and see if there is someting more there.
