I dont know how this seller can get two different Cat #s for this record. Secondly, it was never intended to be a promotional album in Australia, only a Ltd edition when it hit the shelves with the red/silver label. The later version with blue label is the one in the black box. The red label issue is the one worth around $100, the blue can be picked up for around $50 or a little less.
Thanks rollingtom. Perhaps they had some red label issues left over or, (perhaps my info is incorrect, I shall try and follow that up) there is two releases of that box set. This is real news to me, as I have made the Australian issues the theme of my vinyl collection since Elvis in the fifties. If there was two releases, I will cry my eyes out, although I have a mint red label as well.
Well, I have discovered that there was more than one issue of the box set. This upsets me a little as I was covinced there was only one. I will never trust a source of info again till I can verify the facts. What I have discovered is 1st issue, all labels red, 2nd issue, Ltd edition red, other labels blue, 3rd issue, all labels blue. The limited edition LP that was on the shelf when it came out should never have been there. So much for honesty. This info is probably of no real value to anyone here being Australian issues, suffice to say that I guess all collectors must, on some occasions, rely on dishonest info believing it to be true. However I have also found a 1st issue on Ebay but out of my budget. Has anyone here been caught out like me. Thanks rollingtom for inspiring me to do a info search.

Yes, Dieter is great for this kind of info. I was shocked to hear about it, too. Been looking for one for decades. I think its likely a test pressing, or a one off. I think it belongs to an Italian Stones collector, but not sure who.

Well, one up for sale on UK e-bay right now. I was wondering, this one for sale now has the red Mono inner bag? Is this correct? I do not have that many of them in my own collections so I would not know? What is your opinion?
By the way
I AM SERIOUSLY GOING TO COMPETE ON THIS ONE, planning to add it to my collection. May the best man win

Yes, the red inner is correct, as the UK RSM-1 is in MONO. The "M" is RSM-1 stands for MONO. Alt versions of the Satanic Songs. A must. These versions not available elsewhere. Best of luck. Too bad no Decca Letter or Catalogue...see my Collecting Delight thread for photo. Its the Let It Bleed catalogue that should accompany RSM-1.
