Hi all. Day after the show and I am still in the hotel lobby.
Well, what to say of the gig in Helsinki yesterday. Mick was i fantastic condition as usual, not better, not wors than he usually is. Still strong voice, hope he will manage the full tour this time without any voice problems. Ron was on fire alright. He did a splendid work last night. Lots of sliding, excellent palying again on Can't You Hear Me Knocking. Keith, well he was not in any good shape last night. Drunk as anything. He fell over several times, even on B stage during Satisfaction. His playing was very slow some how. Well, I choose not to look that much on him, just not to be too embarrased Charlie, he is always Charie and did a good gig as usual.
Start Me Up Let's Spend The Night Together Rough Justice All Down The Line She's So Cold Love Is Strong Sweet Virginia Can't You Hear Me Knocking Tumbling Dice --- Introductions You Got The Silver (Keith) I Wanna Hold You (Keith) Miss You (to B-stage) It's Only Rock'n Roll (B-stage) Satisfaction (B-stage) Honky Tonk Women (to main stage) Sympathy For The Devil Paint It Black Jumping Jack Flash Brown Sugar (encore)
It was a strong set list with a few surprices. No cover song this time and Sweet Virginia was in there, nice. What more to say..... Well, they had to start around 9 a clock and Helsinki is still light at that hour. It was only after the B stage that the light show came into its own power, Sympathy especially is massive with all fire, smoke and red light.
GREAT show. My feet are hurting because all of jumping and dancing.
And it was really nice to see some of you Thank you for greetings! Hope to see you again sometimes.
BUT something I have to critize. The AUDIENCE?!?!! It was bad! Especially in the beginning... Everybody just stood (at least they stood, not sit... ) Where was all wildness? Luckily after "Miss you" all of the audience was ok.

It was a really great show yesterday night and NOT as bad as the swedish newspapers reports...and sure Keef was a bit drunk but what the hell, he has been that for years anyway. The setlist was amazing according to me! I mean this five songs in a row:
All down the line She´s so cold Love is strong Sweet Virginia Can´t you hear me knocking
I’ve not been able to write until now. It was nice to meet some of you shortly at the pitch, Rob and Sonny second time after London and Jan and Jeppe in the first time. Hopefully we meet again in the coming years
In my opinion show wasn’t so bad, on the whole it rocked pretty well. Well, as I’ve said before I’m lucky I’m not so musically I could watch up every single note. The music goes straight to my heart passing my brain. And singing some verses in the wrong order just proof that it wasn’t playback evening.
I don’t know anything about Keith’s falling episodes, didn’t see neither of them. Yes, towards the end he was more and more aside or “in the other world”, but it didn’t bother me too much. Instead Mick captured more part of my attention
BTW, my nephew’s neck is in your Helsinki diary’s first gig photo. I’ll copy it into my own archive.
And have you seen this photo from Aamulehti newspaper, two familiar shirts in front part and again my nephew in left margin, jean jacket on
