There will be a tour in Europe 2007 - as Bjørnulf has reported here earlier. The Dutchman in this thread who writes there "will be a meeting in December to decide if they're going to call it quits now, or continue" (or something like this) - quoting sources close to the band - well, that's bull. The decission has been taken a long time ago. (in August, actually) They have already booked stadiums several places in Europe. They have written contracts in Germany and Poland, to mention a few. The Stones don't work on such short terms. They never decide less than 4 months before the start of a tour. Remember - they're not in this alone. They depend on more than 300 people who work for them. They have to be hired a long time in advance. When the Stones go on tour, it's not just like planning a weekend-trip to Amsterdam. They decided in Auguas to go back to Europe in 2007, to make up for the cancelled shows, first and foremost. But then - moving the entire Stones camp is SO EXPENSIVE, they decided to put in some axtra shows. So they didn't actually have to PAY part of the expenses for the Euro-shows themselves.
The tour will be announced shortly and ticket sales a few weeks after that. So don't spend all your money on Christmas booze...(It damages your liver and it spoils your Euro-fun next summer)
This is from iorr....what do you think about it folks???

I pretty much agree with the guy who wrote this. There is no way they can plan a 20-40 gig tour just like that. There are all kind of sports happenings and other artists touring Europe as well every summer. Stones management are always carefully planning their gigs so that they would not clash with other artists or happenings that would draw away attention from The Stones Cirkus. Then we have all the logistics, there are not that many rock tour companies in Europe that can handle a hugh cirkus like the Stones. They need to book the company with trucks and manpower well before any other big band snapps up the car/crew gang.
For sure the decission on tour or no tour is already done and it seams as if the tour will actually go ahead.

Another thing that would also speak for a confirmation on 2007 withing the next few weeks is that if the tour will go ahead, then tickets will be on sale before or around new year. Just speculating but reason for this is probably that they need to do a careful market survay, what is the demand and so on. If tickets will sell out fast in one market, then they can add some more gigs there and if the ticket sale is slow slow slow, then they will find some nice reason to cancel that gig and move it to a better selling market. To be able to do this, they have to put up the tickets for sale much in advance.

No Japan in 2007?? I have also heard the gossip for the Indian gigs. We have had some crazy ideas with Juha to fly over there. That would be a thrill to see them in Indiaaah. I just love that country, been there 14 times by now
Iorr wrote 27/11 The Rolling Stones are expected to continue their record breaking tour "A Bigger Bang" around May next year, catching up with shows, cities and countries they did not get to visit this summer in Europe. Rumored cities and more details will be published on IORR soon.
