Well , it was really fantastic. I'm still in a daze. It's gonna take me a few weeks to get back to my regular everyday life again I couldn't agree more with Jan's conclusion for the 25th. Everything was very well prepared with an eye for detail. We had Clapton , Bill , and an overwhelming Mick Taylor on Midnight Rambler. Florence did a great job on Gimme shelter too. My personal highlight was YCAGWYW. The choir gave me goosebumps. Here's the video I made ( block 112 ) www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM5JUYfAxJo
I was really amazed about how good they sounded. I was hoping for a magic concert but got something that was even more than magic. It's fantastic how good Keith is today, quite unbelivable I must say. I think that everything was fantastic, there is just one thing I can complain to and that is the fact That I would prefer Lisa on "Gimme Shelter" than some young girl as guest. "Lady Jane" was one magic moment. "Champagne and reefer" was another with all the guitarwork from the guys on stage. "Miss you" is a song that is a bit worn out but this version was fantastic with a wonderful solo by Bobby. I think that this was the best version of "IORR" I've ever seen live. And of course "MIDNIGHT RAMBLER" .... oh fucking hell this was overmagic, this was an old dream coming true, I was actually crying. To have seen/heard this will be a memory for the rest of my life. Bring back Mick Taylor to the band and do it now!
