I have ordered my 5 LP Vinyl box of GRRRR. That`s good enough for me and I`m not going to buy any other versions. To be honest, it`s getting a bit too much business now. All we want is to see them live again but I`m getting more and more doubtful if that is going to happen. I think the O2 week in London in 2007 might have been the last three shows that at least I have seen. I`m looking forward to May 2013 as my wife and I are having tickets for Eric Clapton at RAH, this is something to look forward to while "Waiting on a Friend".

Got my GRRR box the other day. What to say about this one then? Well, a few comments:
1. Shape. Strange to say the least. Does not fit into any normal book shelf. Way too big in my opinion. Rather good looking but storage problems for sure.
2. Content - A few small glossy tour poster replicas-and an old poster replica. Does not move me at all. - Big book with lots of strange so called memorabilia pictures. Nothing interesting what so ever. Almost no text in the book at all. Where is the band history for example?? - Four CD's, well the normal great songs. Rather good set actually. Only song I would like to omit is the worst song they ever did during the past 50 years, Shattered. Can't understand the greatness of this song
Until now, a rather booring box actually. But there are two items which I like: - The fifth CD. the IBC recordings from March 1963. I had them on bootleg from before but really nice to get them in perfect sound and finally officially released. Big ++ for this CD - The vinyl single. The first ever BBC stereo transmission. Had them on boot before as well but now on official vinyl in excellent sound. Big ++ for this item as well.
3. Price Well, not worth the 120 or so Euro I paid for it. If you do not need to get the IBC and BBC stuff officially, then there is no need what so ever to buy the box. But as a completist of Stones official vinyls, I had to get it. Only regret is that I bought it now and did not wait a year or so until they drop the price to 50 Euros or something to get rid of all boxes made... my number is 22030. They will sell a few thousands initially but after a while they will have truckloads of unsold boxes. So, be patient and get it in the summer of 2014...
The vinyl is the only ++ item in the box. You're right , Jan. The box is too big for the few items inside, and i don't like the picture on the frontcover, its a bit childisch.. Why they don't make a very special box edition for the 50 anniversary celebrating? I only bought the 10" vinyl Doom and Gloom, and i'm happy with that.
