Rik, one of these you might be talking about (attached). They both are fantastic , the Mick Taylor Tears you cannot fault.
Also you are truely right about the censorship of the original cover in Spain .The you tube links you provided to the many artwork in music that was banned is amazing. I enjoyed it all. Many memories in them old LP covers, I forgot about the Juicy Lucy gatefold sleeve. What was wrong with that !! LOL. I assumed even under the strict Government control of the day that Spain was much more liberal in these sorts of images compared to many other countries including Australia but how wrong I was.
I am a bit embarrassed to show this Original imported Australian version because it is what it is .Simply an Australian record with a Spainish sleeve. It simply came with a white import sticker which mine has long gone due to this one being played to death. I think I just liked getting the sleeve out when playing the LP plus the pain of getting the zipper cover out.
Rik I know a collector who has a copy with the sticker intact so I will try and get a pic and hopefully get him to sell it. As I said before the Spainish cover was perfect for exporting as it did not contain any song titles on cover plus even the catalogue number was basically the same. The later 80's re-issues were always in stock here in Brisbane in well known stores Rocking Horse and Kent Records.

Hi Ricardo, I will follow up with the stickered Aussie import .I am sure he will sell it. In worst case I still have my ripped sleeved somewhere here folded away so we can maybe put it back together. Attached I thought I could finish the thread with a little display I gathered together. For the can opener enthusists (LOL) the opener is a bulli beef from approx WW1 . There are around 30 different designs over a 60+ year period so although common,is quite hard to match up. On the other hand the treacle tin is very hard to find in great condition. My wife happened to walk past when I was taking the pic ,and God love her has never ever passed comment on my addiction to stones collecting. On this one and only occasion her comment "don't you think you are taking this a bit too far" !! rings true. I think she is right and the end of road for me is nigh cheers.............................................
I must say that I also have the bulli beef can opener but I've never managed to find the tin can. I only found the same book that you show in the pic. If you can find another tin can I'll be very interested. About the record: I'm more interested in your friends version of the record because of the sticker... Let me know about both questions, please. Many thanks!
Hi Ricardo, mate I will send you an email with some helpful info on the tin. Most guys will think of it as corny but of all the stones items I have bought say the past couple of years for some reason this little tin has got me the most excited. LOL !! That probably tells you something.
To me the best thread I have posted on. great involment from all , new pics and info and maybe solving the time frame of the pressings . Also to finalise and theorize a subject Topic.. Wish there were more threads like it (The Rolled Gold XMAS colored gatefold rarest UK collectible LP first comes to mind ) !! Cheers. Btw Love the cassette version of it. Have you ever heard there maybe an 8 track version in existence.

Peter, You have just added a picture to this tread that made it the post of the decade LOL.
Not only have you a fantastic version of Sticky Fingers signed by Mr Taylor himself but the additional items are so top of the line that nothing can top this ;D
This picture says it all about how we approach our small hobby of gathering a few bits and pieces related to an old Dartford pop orchestra. Furthermore it proves that I am not alone with this small addiction of overdoing it a bit...
This is my small contribution to the topic, related to the opening track on the very same vinyl long playing record.
I thought that my copy was a first pressing. My friend bought his copy a few months after the date of release. Reading this post, Stonedkoala said: "I believe what we have here is the Stamped /Red logo /gloss insert is the first pressing". Anyway is ok a second press...
Anybody know the matrix number for the first pressing??
