Original 12" one sided mono acetate of GYYYO with 4 songs: -Jumping Jack Flash -Carol -Sympathy for the devil -Street fighting man On the label of the blank side are the words; 'Do not play this side' Unfortunately, there is a big deep scratch on the song Carol, so the first half part of the song is not playable. The other 3 songs are in VG condition. GYYYO is the only album that was cut on Apple acetates. Apparently, the Apple studios offered an acetate cutting service which was used by other recording labels. There are other examples of Apple acetates by bands that didn't release anything on Apple records such as Slade, The Zombies, The Who, Rolling Stones, Fairport Convention,...
Jan, Noticed your patient reply to the Red mono label "statement" !! from a user over at IORR. Sorry could not reply there as I stopped contributing years ago. The Greek Ya Ya's copy comes to mind in a similar UK Red Label ,only stereo I think. Also maybe an Indian Red , not too sure. Does the Aussie Ya Ya's and TTPD come in mono ? I'll save that one for the Aussie thread in time to come... Cheers.
Yea, I had to react to that post as the guy claimed that stonesondecca tells about a red label mono Ya Ya's. No such thing is there on my page as far as I know.
Ya Ya's is for sure existing in Mono pressings, I have one that I kindly was given by Kitan a few years back. It is a Brazilian pressing I do also have a Ya Ya's with red nonboxed Decca logo, actually one of my best looking labels in the collection That is the Australian one, BUT it is in STEREO
ROLLING STONES Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out (Original 1970 Mexican Peerless/London red label mono 10-track LP, clean labels with minimal spindle wear, nice vinyl, blue bordered pasted stereo slick picture sleeve with little wear or scuffing, just a smallsplit top the top outer edge. The vinyl shows some light surface marks & the sleeve has some scuffing to the edge, so this copy is graded EX - Still a superb example of '60s Mexican vinyl!)
Great Stuff B'man, You've joined the "reverse label mirror picture taking club". Nice shot and mirror to boot!! Supposively the first Australian Ya Ya's were misprinted with Beggar's labels I believe. Have you heard of any details aswell.
GET YOUR YAH YAH`S OUT Apple Corpo Ltd Custom Recording. I need information on this acetate. First of all I have with good help from one of our friends in the US here on this board received very good information on this acetate. The story is that I have been offered to buy a copy of this acetate and yesterday I could take a good look and i`m sure this is the real thing. But as I`m no god on this stuff I need more information about it. I know there are at least a few of you out there sitting on information so please tell me what you know. This acetate is in Sweden and it`s not on eBay, the deal ( if it happens and the price is OK ) will be a private deal between me and the present owner. So PLEASE tell me what you know about it. Olle
