Well, I usually don't buy boots as I am mostly interested in official stuff. But this is a "maybe" for my collection. It seams to have all songs that was on the "Exile Rarities" disc so now I can get them on a LP of its own.
Kind of same thing as for the R&R Cirkus and 40 Licks LP's. Boots but never issued officially on LP so to get the "full Stones LP" set, they kind of make their point in the collection
Hi John, Great reel of Exile . Did they also do Goat's Head and IORR . Are they the Magtec reels superior to the Ampex version's. Have you seen a IORR reel . So little info on these reels . Do you have any catalogue info confirming what was out there. How would you describe the sound and mix of the Exile . Regards Peter

Have GHS, but dont have IORR...never even seen that one. See my info on the Sticky Thread. Both are incredible, but I have to give it to the Magtec for sound. Exile just slams you through the back of whatever you are sitting on when you listen to it. Its hard to describe. So fat, but but the horns just slay you. My machine died, so havent listened to them in a while. I tried making cassette copies, and even digital, but its the tape itself, on the machine, spinning so fast, that makes the sound. Will be on the lookout for the IORR reel. I wish they had done the earlier ones in mono, and at 7.5 ips. They would be incredible!
While not technically the Exile LP, I noticed that the 2 UK Test Pressing 45s of Exile songs, Rocks Off c/w All Down the Line SAM3, and Happy c/w Shine A Light SAM4 went for 359.99 GBP last week (see link below) on eBay. Did anyone from this group get them?

Hi B'man, Great find on the Argentine Exile white label promo. What a beauty . The labels are fantastic. The 1st time I saw it for sale years ago the sellers photo was a little blurry and frustratingly I thought it had writing over the labels. As your photos show it turned out to be infact the Exile logo writing!! I think only Japan and Germany also had true white label Exile LP promo's.
