Just to let you know, I have put up a brand new site for my DECCA documentation project.
So far you have been able to access my Decca stuff through our Stonesvikings homepage but the amount of material and information is now so big that I just had to restructure the information on a new page of my own
Lot's of pages still to be constructed but the main bulk of the 60's UK Decca is in place. Just click around and you will also find something new that is not on the vikings page. More info will be added every week

I might add the 7" vinyls in the future. The thing is that I have not been collecting them so I do not have enough of material go get into the groove so to speak. The job I have done on the LP's is based on investigating about 500+ Decca non box LP's "live", surfing the net and communicating with other collectors. So there are years of hard work behind this. To start up the process on 7" will be a hugh project as well, not as big as on the LP's, but anyhow, a few years of investigation.
I do not have enough of material at this point, need to get e few hundred original 60's 7" to start with

Jan, as a US/UK vinyl collector full in the throes of "the disease" (Thanks, JR!), I am also long time "lurker" who does not post much but enjoys your dialogue(s). Let me say that I think your work is of the best I have ever seen. Please continue on with your work, and please let me know if I can help.

Dont worry about the UK 7" records, as I have about all of them, including demos, test presses and acetates, so I can provide them--minus my Holy Grail, the Poison Ivy / Fortune Teller....I need this, someone help me out!

Thanks for the offer John. I might take up the project but I need to do a lot of investigation before I can start to create the pages. I do not see any use in just listing the stock 7", there has to be more information on different pressings and deviations from the standard. Like the mess with stereo and mono matrix numbers and so on, yes some of the singles can be found in mono as well as stereo and the only way to tell them a part is by checking the matrix numbers . Then you have the black label exports, UK domestics, UK blue label exports and... well, you get the idea
Not a promise, but I will think about it. I still need to create all 70's Decca LP's and a few other bits and pieces as well. Lots of work still pending before I have the basic LP set on the level I want to have it on...
Just won Aftermath test pressing recently on ebay and I have a curious observation-the record is deep grooved so pre-68 or so but the matrices are -5w both sides which I have only seen on boxed pressings. The copy I have should therefore surely have non-grooved labels as the timescale between the end of grooved issues and the start of boxed labels is too great?? any ideas anyone?

Lots of updates on my new stonesondecca page. Almost everything that is on the Stonesvikings Decca Page is now shifted to the new site. Just a few more pages to do. I have also added a lot of new information in addition to the info found on the old page

Maybe you already noticed but just to let you know. We took down all Decca LP information I had on stonesvikings.com and when you now click on Decca Records on Stonesvikings, it will take you directly to stonesondecca.com
Thanx I have added some info lately. I still have a LOT to do before the page is at the level I would like it to be. Just needs a lot of hard work and hundreds of hours...
There will be a break in addition of new information now during the summer. I need to keep my -57 Dodge and -73 Cadillac shining as long as we have some weather that with a bit of imagination could be called for summer
