Hi B'man, Great stuff you have just posted. But do you know what you have just made me realise by posting this Satanic sheet music is the "octagonal" design of the album cover in the puzzle and the image also inside the cover. I have never ever noticed this before !! I am like wow and now I think believe in the octagonal sleeve even more .!!! Did anyone ever notice this before and the octagonal image of the puzzle on the actual Satanic cover. Thanks for posting.

Nope but you're right, I'd never thought that it could have been used as an octogonal sleeve. Another thought (Don't forget it was "the psychedelic times " ;D), is that the octogonal shot this way was used instead of the original mention "It's here" could mean that on the real thing "it's Here" was the way to find our STONES on the other side (The front cover of the sleeve). But don't take me too seriously ... it's just my imagination runnin' away with me
... I can't believe I never noticed the connection before in this music book! Especially the inside photo, with the 3D image presented as an octagonal shape. I know they were just reproducing the image from the music book cover, but why not use the actual album image? Why persist with the octagonal shape? It is an really interesting connection.
One probably will never know what's inside their mind , but once again, just my thoughts, maybe for a better 3D perspective. The sheet didn't reproduce the 3D, so the only chance to get a kind of optical illusion was to use the octogonal picture as they did, and it works ! Print a copy of this sheet and use the current shot in the middle instead of the octogonal and you 'll get a minor optical illusion .
Yes Jan I've followed the old discussion about it some month ago and seen it on your fabulous TSMR page. The question is if that they have planned to do an octogonal for TSMR, and that for some reasons, they gave up the project, they've done it with TTPD later. Try to imagine the story , an octogonal TSMR and later a 3D TTPD, I don't think it should have been done with TTPD in 1969, the 3D thing was from the past and fit with 1967. But an octogonal 3D should have been great for the usal edition of TSMR , IMO. Btw , i like the cover like this, maybe I should purchase another one and try to do an octogonal myself ,I'm jokin'of course ;D Anyway this TSMR cover is still fabulous , and whatever the project they could have planned, it was a time of great art creation , and I would have like to see more like this. If Sgt Pepper's sleeve was a trailer , TSMR is the movie. Thanks to Michael COOPER for these ideas and shots.

Don't get me wrong Rik, I'm not playin' a kind of game, I just wanted (and I failed ) to show that some records (and not only the ones most people think of) are not easy to get. I've only seen Aretha's picture disc with Keith a couple of time on the bay, plus I 'd forgot to think to it quite often when I search , that's also one of the reason it take me years to catch it. ;D By the way, there's not a ton of official picture-disc or shaped disc, amazin' when you see all the unofficial ones.
Sorry, honestman... I was not playing with you !!!! If it's some king of game I'm always going to lose given the collections that the members of this forum have. The reason why I post this pics was because I find this records in my collection this weekend and decided to post it.... not playing or competing. Sorry if I was misunderstood.
By the way, the Throwaway 7" picture it's not so easy to find as one can imagine. Best, Ricardo
