I don´t see a problem that it´s a Verbatim, I mean it´s gotta be some brand, right since it not produced in a big series? And considering the small series of these that were probably made, so I don´t think it´s a fake, I mean, there would be no real profit to be made out of this, since it probably just appeals to guys like us I can imagine they let some intern at the office burn a bunch of these, and print a label and slap on, and in the mail they go!

Well it's always the same on promotional or in-house promos. You get them in all sizes, shapes and qualities but there's never a 100% safe way to know wether the promo you got is a fake or not. The best way but the hardest way, is to go through people inside the record company itself. I get most of my promos from just a few of these insiders, people I've worked with for over 6 years and by then I think I can start trusting them. But again you'll never be a 100% sure.
Best regards,
Sam

Very Much appreciated After a six month reflexion, I've started today another chapter, called the PROMO DVD's, and these promo came from you of course , except the french one ;D

Thanks on the flattering Pascal. Much appreciated :-)
Great on starting this extra section on your blog. I assume you'll be adding more of the promo DVD scans you got from me in the past? Let me know if I can help.
Best regards,
Sam

On the subject of promos, here is a UK test pressing (SAM 3)one that one does not see too often. This is the A-side and it's c/w All Down the Line. This is actually a companion to another UK test pressing (SAM 4) with the unusual coupling of Happy c/w Shine a Light. All 4 of the tracks are different mixes than those which appear elsewhere. The only guide in which I have ever seen these listed is the VOX record guide which also lists a 1-sided Tumbling Dice UK promo. The only other person of whom I know that has these is, of course, JR. He and I have opined for years that instead of promos, these are actually UK test pressings which the band ran off for playing over the UK radio in the spring of 72. Given that, and given the facts that I've never seen others besides the ones we own, there may be less than 5 of each of these. If anyone has these or the 1-sided Dice or any additional information on them, please let me know. I will post the Shine a Light side next. Attachments:
