I seem to remember a photo, but maybe it was on IORR. The consensus at that time was that it was a fake. Looks like someone made it at home. It is mentioned in the Vox Record Hunter book, but I can say that I have ever seen something that looks real.

Malcom Charles, an UK collector has sent me a few nice pictures on Satanic. Among them a pic of a Stereo sticker used to cover up the Mono text on the back side of the cover. Seams as if Mono sleeves were in stock after that the production of Mono had stopped. So they used the covers and just changed them into Stereo with stickers.
I have updated my Satanic Decca page

;D
I have absolutely no problem with that at all Rick ;D ;D
By the way, I guess that "Ricky" on IORR and you is the very same person? I can see that you are into the tread about Spanish pressings over there.

Yep! Same person. It's easy to find the vinyl collectors. I was thinking of bringing to this forum those spanish collectors and that thread about spanish records....

Yea, please do invite them here. Open a new tread if you start to discuss Spanish issues. I have a great book with about 8000 worldwide Stones issues and I may have a lot to contribute to the Spanish discussion. I have not yet had time to get into the details on what is existing.

OK Jan: I just did it. I know of what book you're talking about. I try to contact the italian author (can't remember his name right now... Luca Accialini ??) around two years ago: he send me a mail (I asked him to buy the book) but soon, his web page (betweentherecords.com) dissapear and he never answer my second mail...
Can you tell me if is any chance to buy the book now? It's a book with a CD-Rom? Includes pictures of labels and covers? It's updated? any information would be appreciated.
By the way: what about that UK labels book that you bought some months ago? Is really good? I was thinking about buying that one, but I only need that book for the Stones info, so I think that I'm buying a book for just 10 pages.... perhaps I'm wrong.
Do you finally bought the Japanese book that I recommended years ago on this board? Not perfect (your Decca pages are better) but a good book.
Best and as always: thanks

Hello everyone. Just discovered this board and find it very refreshing. Been a member of IORR for some time and will remain so, but lately it has become so OT, with on occasion ,a little nasty to newbies by some. With regard to dartfords enquiry on padded sleeve, I have seen it, touched it(when I wasnt supposed to,it was on auction at a poster auction) in Fremantle West Australia 12 years ago. The cover was the same as the standard 3D version but the blue and white cloud area around it was in silk, billowed out like a pillow sort of thing. The label was, if memory is correct, was green with gold text. Certainly this was not homemade as another type seen on ebay. I didnt stay at the auction to bid on it even though there was only about twenty odd people there mostly interested in movie posters. My wife and I left the auction because my wife was distressed about the news we got that Princess Diana was killed on that day. I posted this on IORR but noone replied. I made up a mock version of what it looked like to a well know European collector but got no answer with any info on it. I am now trying for a couple of years to locate its whereabouts hoping it might still be in local hands. Hope my first post here is not too boring. So glad to see Stone Relics is here.

Hello whiskey and welcome
And what a nice piece of information you deliver right away in your first post. This padded sleeve Satanic has been debated for a long time, weather it exists or not. Record Collector had it listed in some "top rarest" list or something a few years back and that heated up the discussion at that point.
But this is fantastic news, you have actually seen a copy and that should put an end to the big question mark. I will put up some info on this record on my DECCA page at some point. I need to collect a bit of facts first.....

Hello Jan, I feel ashamed to say that at the time I disregarded the importance of this item as I figured it was just another variation. The disc was only in VG or even G condition and the silk on the bottom left front was lightly stained a greenish blue colour. I thought OK I will get another one when it pops up. What an idiot. The guy who had it up on auction may not have been the owner, he may have it up on consignment. The good news at this point in time is I have the phone # of the auction owner but it is lost in packageing which only recently I have been able to access, I know I still have it, just a matter of time. Although our phone numbers have been upgraded, I will get to the State library for a past phone book and try to get his address, then if neccessary go through election rolls. Thats a start to try and trace it. Who knows maybe noone bid on it. I will keep you informed as things come up. Even if I cant own it, I may be able to get a photo of it. I cant imagine it being a boot, it was too well made. But the condition of it 12 years ago was evident that it had been around for awhile.
