This one is in Australia. The owner, Peter Hinds, contacted me a few days ago regarding the signed RSM-1. He is actually the one who made the comment on e-bay on the item for sale in July 2010, that 20-30 copies were signed and that he has seen a picture of this. He is trying to locate the picture and if it's found, you will se it as well
Thank you Peter for the picture and the additional information. By the way, Peter knows of 6 signed copies as of now
Today Feb 4th 2011, one day before my biryhday 8-), I got kind of a birthday present in the mail. Not the real mail but the electonical one:
[glow=red,2,300]A picture of a new signed RSM.1 [/glow]
How cool can that be
The mail came from Zwitzerland and there is one collector who bought a copy on a Sothebys auction about ten years ago I am just checking with the owner that it is ok to add the picture and information to my stonesondecca page
Well Done Jan, Great to see another one. Amazing how they all seem to have signed all over the place except for Mick. The Charlie auto does look suspect again on this one and as you concluded done by Bill. Regards Peter
Yea, I guess Jagger started the signing process and put his name on the same spot, then the rest och the guys randomly chose where to sign and then Bill doing two guys ;D as the drummer guy had a break
Jan, I think you are right that Bill signed for Charlie. These are really cool! I wish mine were signed, but I am happy to have gotten it anyway! I also believe that your assessment of the ratio is likely correct, as there are numerous RSD-1s around, but the RSM-1s are few and far between.
WORRIES - these have been bootlegged for many years, and there are 2 ways of whcih I know one can ascertain if the pressing is a boot: 1) no lettering on the LP's cover's spine; and 2) no matrix numbers in the dead wax. I am aware of many boots of the US pressing, but I am not so sure about the UK one.
Does anyone know any more on these? MIGHT be a good thread - how to spot fakes of major items (Beast US sleeve, acetates, etc.)
