I realise this is an old thread, but nonetheless. Just Google "rolling stones + tab" i.e and you will find lots, but much of it isn't correct. Many of the guitartabs don't even realise that songs are played using open G-tuning etc.
Sometimes I wonder if this is a deliberate attempt by the Stones to keep their music to themselves! HAHA! I was joking,ok?
The worst thing about wrong tabs is that a lot of people don't realise that they are wrong, and the people that write these tabs must think that they're right.....ho hum.
Anyway, it just shows what great musicians the Stones really are, don't you think?
On 'You Tube' i saw a few, maybe two, different opinions how to play Midnight Rambler. One of these teachers means that his example how to play Midn. Ramb. are correct. But his beat did'nt fits and his way to choose some notes in the beat are missplaced . If you have time and some talent, You can listen to the records and by yourself pick up how to play. Maybe You got lucky and play the track / tracks better than The Stones (don't kill me now) cause it's nearly allways neccessary to compromize and whitout knowing play in an personaly style like the teachers on You Tube witch thinks that their way to play is the right.
Hope you know what I mean cause I'm from Sweden (Barcelona) and try to talk your language and maybe have no id'e what im talking about like the teachers on You Tube.
....Stones songs, where to find good tabs, equipment etc etc.
Maybe you allready surley found the short movies on 'You Tube' (?). I can't say it is good tabs but......
What equipment do you ask for ? Let me guess: A good way to get a stoneich sound on an amplifier is to get an who alloud 'masterdistorsion'. You turn the masterbutton 'low' and the volym-button to 'high'. If you get an old amplifier with pipes (?) (rörförstärkare) on these the sound are more heavy, thicker and greaseier than the transistor amplifiers. I don't know what sound you like, but if you longing for the 'Keef'-sound on 'Get Yer', and 'Love You Live' you better choose the amplifier with 'pipes' (sorry I can't figure out the right name just now).
